The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs Receives Green Certificate from Moro Hub for Utilizing its Eco-Friendly Data Center

Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA and the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority PJSC (DEWA), has recognized the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs (MOCA) with a prestigious Green Certificate for its steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability. The accolade acknowledges MOCA’s initiative in leveraging Moro Hub’s state-of-the-art Green Data Center to manage its IT workloads efficiently.

During the AI Retreat held at Dubai’s Museum of the Future, His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, presented the Green Certificate to His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister Of State For Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy And Remote Work Applications, Director General Of The Prime Minister’s Office.

In his remarks, HE Al Olama highlighted the UAE Government’s dedication to advancing the vision of its leadership through accelerated adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. These technologies not only meet sustainability standards but also significantly reduce carbon emissions. He emphasized the importance of integrating clean energy solutions into governmental operations to drive sustainable growth and enhance global leadership in this domain.

HE Al Olama underscored the necessity of strong public-private partnerships in developing advanced technological ecosystems powered by renewable energy. Such collaborations, he noted, are pivotal in achieving national and global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and combating climate change.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer said, “We are delighted to present the Green Certificate to the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs in recognition of their efforts in pioneering sustainable IT infrastructure solutions. We commend the ministry’s leadership approach to enhancing environmental sustainability, significantly reducing the carbon footprint, and supporting sustainable practices in the digital sector. Moro’s Green Data Center works to promote the digital transformation of governmental and private institutions in the UAE, supporting their efforts to upgrade their infrastructure in alignment with the Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions and the UAE’s artificial intelligence strategies.”
