Rensource Energy, Africaโ€™s fastest-growing solar power provider for the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sector, has announced the successful installation of a 300kWp carport solar energy system for the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) in Abuja. This installation is expected to generate 436MWh annually and offset 4,293 metric tonnes of CO2 over its lifetime, contributing significantly to the advancement of the net-zero target by 2050.

The state-of-the-art carport solution was designed to power IHVN’s facility, aiming to reduce their reliance on diesel while providing a clean, affordable, and reliable source of energy.

“We are thrilled to have installed this cutting-edge carport solar solution for the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) with the sole purpose of bridging their energy gap,” said Prince Ojeabulu, CEO of Rensource Energy. “We look forward to seeing the projectโ€™s impact on IHVNโ€™s overall business operations and the environment at large.”

Dr. Charles Olalekan Mensah, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, expressed satisfaction with the project, stating, “Having reviewed some of Rensource’s past projects, we found their credibility to be high. This propelled us to work with the organization, and they did not disappoint us. They deployed unique technology into our facility, and the finish was excellent in terms of the quality of products used and the actual installation. We are glad to have installed this solar energy solution as it was very timely.”
