The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced the results of its 1.2 GW Wind-Solar Hybrid (Phase VIII) auction, showcasing competitive tariffs from several key players in the renewable energy sector.

Juniper Green Energy emerged as one of the notable winners, securing 150 MW at a tariff of โน3.43 per kWh. Following closely, Asurari Renewable and JSW Energy both bid โน3.45 per kWh, winning capacities of 300 MW and 150 MW, respectively. AMPIN Energy also matched this tariff, securing another 150 MW.
Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra) secured a smaller capacity of 60 MW at the same tariff of โน3.45 per kWh. Avaada Energy offered a slightly higher tariff of โน3.46 per kWh, winning a significant 240 MW of the project capacity.
The results highlight the ongoing competitive nature of India’s renewable energy sector, with bids clustering closely around the โน3.45 per kWh mark. This auction reflects the sustained interest and investment in hybrid renewable energy solutions, combining wind and solar power to optimize efficiency and reliability.
The successful bidders are expected to contribute significantly to India’s renewable energy targets, supporting the country’s transition towards a sustainable energy future. This auction marks another step forward in harnessing hybrid technologies to ensure a stable and diversified energy supply.
