Adapture Renewables, a prominent developer and operator in utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, has announced the signing of an energy off-take agreement with a confidential Fortune 50 company. The agreement pertains to a 67 MWp utility-scale solar facility located in Hunt County, Texas, with commercial operations scheduled to commence later in 2024. This initiative aligns with the Fortune 50 company’s commitment to achieving net-zero targets by powering its operations with renewable energy.

The Dallas-area project is expected to generate approximately 120 GWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to powering 12,500 homes, through a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA). Beyond environmental benefits, the project will also contribute significantly to the local economy, creating over one hundred and fifty jobs during its construction phase and generating an estimated net positive economic impact exceeding $77 million for the community.

Jesse Tippett, Vice President of Origination at Adapture Renewables, expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, highlighting its contribution to their expanding portfolio of long-term agreements with corporate energy buyers. Tippett emphasized the role of such partnerships in advancing a cleaner and more reliable grid, driven by cost-effective solar energy solutions.
