Yemen’s Acting Governor Inspects Solar Energy Station Project In Taiz

Acting Governor Ahmed Amin Al-Musawa of Taiz led an inspection of the ongoing work on the first phase of the solar energy station project in the province.

Accompanied by Saba Nasr Al-Din Amer, Head of the Yemeni News Agency Board of Directors, Mansour Ahmed Saddam, Governorโ€™s Undersecretary, and Brigadier General Muhammad Yahya Al-Khaled, Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Al-Musawa underscored the vital role of development projects in alleviating citizen hardships amidst current challenges.

Highlighting the solar power station as a crucial infrastructure initiative, Al-Musawa emphasized its significance in enhancing local services. The project aims to improve water pumping efficiency and reduce operational costs previously reliant on diesel, as outlined by Muhammad Ibrahim, Director of the local water and sanitation corporation.

The initial phase will involve nine water wells, each with a capacity exceeding 500 kilograms, laying the foundation for future expansions to benefit the community.
