German Energy Firms Seek Collaboration In Cyprus

Eight German energy firms are slated to attend a conference on the island in July, arranged by Germany’s Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), as announced. The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce (Keve) stated that these companies specialize in energy efficiency and solutions for buildings and will engage with local stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities.

The participating companies include Apollo Green Solution, known for transparent photovoltaics (PVs) paired with battery systems and charging stations; SUNSET Energietechnik, focusing on CO2-neutral PV and solar systems; Led Light, specializing in energy-saving lighting systems and antimicrobial LED lighting; inventers, offering sustainable ventilation systems for passive houses; Steinel, known for advanced lighting systems with integrated management; Ecodry, providing wall dehumidification, ventilation, and coatings; as well as Soliterm Group and Protarget, specializing in solar thermal energy systems for industrial applications.

The conference, scheduled for July 1-4 in Limassol, will feature presentations from Cypriot and German experts, discussing the potential of the German market and local sector data and prospects.

The technological solutions presented will primarily target medium and large businesses, hotel units, local government organizations, project developers, the food and beverage industries, and architects.

A seminar focused on renewable energies and the modernization of commercial buildings and hotels in Cyprus is scheduled for July 2.
