The VSB Group is set to commence construction on its first photovoltaic project in Sicily, a 60 MW ground-mounted system spanning 100 hectares in Ramacca, in the province of Catania. The German company has announced that the commissioning of the project is scheduled for 2025.
Upon completion, the photovoltaic park is expected to produce approximately 117,000 MWh of electricity annually.
“The VSB Italia team currently has a total of 1.8 gigawatts of wind and photovoltaic projects under development. Ramacca is a testimony to our experience in developing large-scale photovoltaic projects,” said Giuseppe de Benedictis, CEO of VSB Italia.
This project marks a significant milestone for VSB Group as it expands its renewable energy portfolio in Italy.
