Juniper Green Energy has announced the signing of two significant Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in Gujarat and Rajasthan, marking a milestone in India’s renewable energy sector.
Under the first PPA with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Hybrid Tranche VII, Juniper Green Energy will develop a 150 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Gujarat and Rajasthan. This collaboration aims to annually generate approximately 477 million units (MUs) of electricity, contributing significantly to reducing CO2 emissions by around 445,796 tonnes per year and powering approximately 95,079 households.
In addition, Juniper Green Energy has secured a separate agreement with GUVNL Wind Phase VI for a standalone 90 MW wind power project in Gujarat. This project is expected to generate about 293 million units (MUs) of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 266,002 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually and providing electricity to approximately 56,539 households in Gujarat.
Mr. Naresh Mansukhani, CEO of Juniper Green Energy, highlighted the strategic importance of these partnerships, emphasizing their commitment to harnessing the synergies between wind and solar energy. He stated, “These initiatives underscore our dedication to delivering reliable and environmentally responsible green energy solutions. We are excited to contribute to Gujarat and Rajasthan’s clean energy goals and bring significant positive impacts to local communities.”
The projects are poised to bolster India’s clean energy landscape, supporting sustainable development and advancing renewable energy adoption in the region.
