Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd. (TCIL) has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) inviting bids for a consortium partnership in the development of a grid-connected 5 MW (AC) solar power plant. The project, located at South Eastern Coalfields Limited’s Vivek Nagar Mines in Sohagpur Area, aims to bolster renewable energy infrastructure in the region. TCIL will lead the consortium, overseeing the design, engineering, procurement, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning phases, along with a ten-year comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) commitment.

The EOI specifies that interested bidders must submit their proposals by 12:00 PM on July 18, 2024, through the GePNIC Portal. The technical bid opening is scheduled for the same day at 3:30 PM, with the financial bid opening to follow at a later date.

Financially, bidders are required to meet specific criteria: demonstrating an average annual financial turnover of at least 11.40 crore rupees over the last three financial years, with positive net worth as of the most recent fiscal year-end, and a record of Profit Before Tax (PBT) in two out of the past three financial years. Startups have a reduced turnover requirement of 9.5 crore rupees.
