Waaree Energies Ltd., India’s leading solar PV module manufacturer, has announced a significant contract with Serentica Renewables India Private Limited for the supply of 900 MW of solar modules. The modules will be installed in a large-scale solar power project in Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
As of June 30, 2023, Waaree Energies boasts the largest aggregate installed capacity of 12 GW in India, according to a CRISIL report. The delivery of Waareeโs Top-Con bifacial modules, specifically the Waaree Elite Series N Type Topcon BiN-03-680 to 690Wp GTG Bifacial modules, is scheduled between August 2024 and February 2025.
Mr. Sunil Rathi, Director of Sales at Waaree Energies Ltd., highlighted the importance of the collaboration with Serentica Renewables, describing it as a testament to their commitment to excellence and innovation in the renewable energy sector. “This project underscores our dedication to advancing solar technology and supporting Indiaโs transition to clean energy, while also creating job opportunities. Our elite series modules are designed to enhance the efficiency, durability, and performance of this significant project,” Rathi stated.

Waaree Energies will manage the manufacturing, testing, packing, and transportation of the solar PV modules, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and timely project execution. The deployment of this project is expected to significantly boost the regionโs renewable energy capacity, reduce carbon emissions, and promote environmental sustainability. As India progresses towards its renewable energy goals, large-scale initiatives like this are crucial for achieving a greener future.
