Don Humberto Park in Til-til Achieves Energy Synchronization Milestone, Combining 80 MW Solar Capacity and 67 MW BESS

The Don Humberto park, situated in the commune of Til-til in Chile’s Metropolitan region, has successfully achieved its first energy synchronization with the National Electric System. This milestone marks a significant step for the park, which combines an 80 MW solar energy capacity with a 67 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

Enel Green Power Chile announced that Don Humberto is the second hybrid unit in the region to reach this important milestone.

Construction of the park began in August 2023. It features 131,000 bifacial monocrystalline panels, each with a capacity of 615 W, and is projected to generate 188 GWh annually.

Located 40 kilometers from Santiago, Chile’s capital, the Don Humberto park spans 186.75 hectares. The project received its environmental approval in April 2022.
