GoodWe announced the successful completion of a 30kW project on the Gold Coast, Queensland, featuring the installation of its Galaxy solar panels on a six-floor residential apartment building.
The project employed a pioneering gluing installation technique that avoided drilling into the concrete roof. Additionally, ventilation tubes were used to create a space between the roof surface and the panels. This approach ensures that the roof membrane remains intact, effectively eliminating any risk of leakage and allowing for a rapid and efficient installation process. By avoiding traditional mounting methods, the installation was completed with minimal disruption and in half the time.
After commissioning, the system will provide energy to the building’s swimming pool and communal areas, leading to a significant reduction in energy expenses for body corporate. The systemโs impressive efficiency is expected to result in a payback period of just two years, illustrating the cost-effectiveness and financial advantages of adopting Galaxy technology.

Galaxy panels provide a significant cost-effectiveness advantage over traditional Tier 1 panels. The total cost of a Galaxy turnkey solution is lower, and the installation process is faster, making it an ideal choice for efficient energy upgrades. The ultra-lightweight, frameless design reduces dust accumulation, which lowers maintenance costs and enhances long-term efficiency compared with traditional panels. Additionally, their robust build, featuring 1.6mm tempered glass, ensures increased resistance to hail and severe weather conditions, further enhancing their durability and reliability.
This project exemplifies how Galaxy panels meet the growing demand for efficient, sustainable energy solutions in contemporary building environments. The Galaxy turnkey solution delivers state-of-the-art energy performance while seamlessly integrating into modern urban structures without compromising aesthetics or functionality.
