SCG International has officially launched its latest innovation project, the “Microgrid Bang Sue Complex,” led by key SCG executives including Mr. Wiroj Rattanachaisit, Chief Executive Officer of SCG Smart Living Business and SCG Distribution and Retail, and Mr. Abijit Dutta, Managing Director of SCG International Corporation Co., Ltd. The event also featured Mr. Poonpat Loharjun, President of Evolt Technology, and Ms. Picharee Keeratithakul, Senior Innovation Developer at the National Innovation Agency (NIA).
The project aims to enhance the use of clean and renewable energy by incorporating a solar car park and advanced energy management software into the SCG Bang Sue Head Office. This installation, with a production capacity of 735.9 kWp, is expected to increase the proportion of renewable energy used at the Bang Sue Head Office from 10 percent to 18 percent.
Funded by the National Innovation Agency (NIA), the Bang Sue Complex Microgrid Project integrates cutting-edge energy storage and control technologies, representing a comprehensive approach to building energy management. The project also features Evolt Technology’s electric vehicle charging points, which provide real-time data on energy usage and dynamic load management through an API system, enhancing the overall efficiency of the microgrid system.
The launch of this project marks a significant milestone for SCG in its efforts to incorporate clean energy and work towards a Net Zero society. It not only enhances energy management flexibility and benefits SCG’s various business divisions but also opens opportunities for collaboration with other organizations focused on advancing green business practices for a sustainable future.
