SECI Invites Bids For 2,000 MW Solar Power Projects With 1,000 MW Energy Storage Systems

SECI is inviting solar power developers to bid for a 2,000 MW solar project with 1,000 MW and 4,000 MWh of energy storage in India. The bidding involves a single-stage, two-envelope process with fees including ₹50,000 for documents and ₹20,000 per MW for processing, plus an EMD of ₹16,24,000 per MW. The deadline for submissions is September 4, 2024, with openings on September 5. The project, on a BOO basis, requires a ₹40,60,000 PBG and offers a 25-year PPA. Fiscal incentives apply but don’t affect bid evaluation.

APGCL Invites Bids For Project Management Consultancy Services For 50 MW Lower Kopili Solar PV Project

The Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) has announced a tender for consultancy services to provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for the establishment of a 50 MW Solar PV Project at Lower Kopili. Eligible consulting firms must have experience in delivering PMC services for at least one successfully commissioned Solar PV project (ground-mounted or floating) with a minimum capacity of 25 MW within the past three years.

MSPGCL Withdraws Petition For 100 MW Solar Project Transfer Following PSA Termination

MSPGCL recently sought approval to transfer a 100 MW solar PV project under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana to MAHAPREIT. However, MSPGCL’s petition, filed on June 13, 2023, was impacted by MSEDCL’s termination of the Power Supply Agreement (PSA) on June 12, 2024. MSEDCL established MSEB Solar Agro Power Ltd (MSAPL) to manage the MSKVY 2.0 scheme, including the solarization of substations covered by the PSA. Consequently, MSPGCL requested to withdraw the petition, which the Commission approved.

RERC Approves JVVNL’s Competitive Bidding Tariff For 116.33 MW Solar Projects Under PM-KUSUM Scheme

The Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) reviewed Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited’s (JVVNL) petition for approving levelized tariffs discovered through competitive bidding for 116.33 MW solar projects under the PM-KUSUM scheme. The scheme supports feeder-level solarization, offering financial aid for installation. JVVNL sought tariff approval for projects solarizing agriculture pumps. The RERC set a ceiling tariff of ₹3.55 per unit for Component C. JVVNL’s efforts include innovative bidding and collaboration through the Saur Krishi Ajivika Yojna to enhance solar power deployment.

CESC Limited Invites Bids For 150 MW Solar PV Power Projects In India

CESC Limited has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for the development of 150 MW of ISTS-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects across India. The tender will utilize a two-bid system, incorporating both technical and financial bids. Bidders may offer between 50 MW and 150 MW, in multiples of 50 MW. The maximum capacity allocation per bidder is capped at 150 MW.

RERC Introduces New Amendments For Grid Interactive Renewable Energy Systems 2024

The Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) has updated the Grid Interactive Distributed Renewable Energy Generating Systems Regulations for 2024. Key amendments include allowing educational institutions to switch from net-metering to Net Billing for two months annually to manage energy use. The revised regulations also streamline the application process, requiring technical feasibility studies to be completed in 15 days and speeding up the connection finalization process. Additional provisions address subsidy application issues and name mismatches for rural consumers. The finalized regulations will be published in the Official Gazette and communicated to stakeholders.

SECI Invites Bids For 12 MW Solar Power Project In Ladakh         

SECI has issued a tender for the design, supply, construction, and maintenance of a 12 MW Solar PV Power Plant in Phey, Leh, Ladakh. The project includes a five-year operation and maintenance period and requires bidders to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of ₹1,78,00,000 and a Performance Bank Guarantee of 5% of the contract value. The bid deadline is August 16, 2024, with a 24-month completion timeframe. SECI, representing the Ladakh Power Development Department, seeks qualified contractors to deliver and maintain the solar plant, supporting renewable energy growth in Ladakh.

Jammu & Kashmir Greenlights ₹400 Crore Large-Scale Rooftop Solar Initiative For Government Buildings

The Administrative Council of Jammu & Kashmir, chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has given the green light to a large-scale solar energy project. This initiative will see the installation of Grid-Tied Rooftop solar power systems across government buildings in the region. The project, valued at ₹400 crore, aims to harness an aggregate capacity of 70 MW under Capex mode and 200 MW under RESCO mode.
