REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited under the Ministry of Power, has transferred a project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), Rajasthan IV-A Power Transmission Limited, to Apraava Energy Private Limited (AEPL). This project aims to enhance power evacuation from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phase IV, located in the Jaisalmer and Barmer complex.

Apraava Energy emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL. As the Bid Process Coordinator, RECPDCL facilitated the development of this transmission project on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The project involves the construction of a 765/400 kV, 4×1500 MVA and 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA Pooling Station at Fatehgarh-IV, along with 184.56 kilometers of 400 kV transmission lines and associated works. The SPV was officially handed over by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, to Mr. Naveen Munjal, Director of Business Development at AEPL, in a ceremony attended by senior officials from RECPDCL, AEPL, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.
