Shri Sivakumar V Vepakomma officially took on the role of Director (Power System) at Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). Shri Vepakomma, who previously served as Chief General Manager at NTPC Green Energy Limited, brings extensive experience to SECI, having led engineering, contracts, commercial functions, business development, and carbon trading initiatives.
His career includes notable achievements as the first CEO of the joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Ltd and IOCL Ltd. With 34 years in the power sector, Shri Vepakomma’s expertise spans project construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance, commercial and regulatory affairs, and the development of solar, wind, hybrid, and storage solutions.
Shri Vepakomma holds an engineering degree, an MSc in Energy Systems and Environment from the University of Strathclyde (a British Chevening Scholar), and a Post Graduate Certification in Project Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. His appointment marks a significant addition to SECI’s leadership team, poised to drive the company’s strategic initiatives in the renewable energy sector.
