A delegation from Jordanโs Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recently participated in a specialized training program titled “Energy Transition in Agriculture and Landscape,” focusing on integrating sustainable energy solutions into the agricultural sector. The program, which took place from August 25 to 30, was held at the Clingendael Netherlands Institute of International Relations in The Hague, Netherlands.
This training was part of a collaborative effort between the Netherlands and Tunisia aimed at exploring various energy technologies applicable to agriculture. The curriculum covered a range of sustainable energy options including biogas, solar energy, wind energy, green hydrogen, and geothermal energy.
The Jordanian delegation was composed of Eng. Omar Al-Nawaisheh from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund, Eng. Ala Abu Haniya from the Oil and Natural Gas Directorate, along with representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Center for Agricultural Research.
The program is part of Jordanโs broader strategy to incorporate renewable energy into agricultural practices, enhancing sustainability and efficiency in the sector.
