Pekat Group Berhad (Pekat) has announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Pekat Solar Sdn. Bhd. (PSSB), has accepted a Letter of Award (LOA) from MF Solar Tronoh Sdn. Bhd. (MFST) to undertake the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of a 29.99 megawatt AC (MWac) solar photovoltaic plant.

The project, under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP), is set to be constructed at Mukim Belanja, Kinta District, Perak, with a total contract value of RM115 million.

The project is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024, with a targeted Commercial Operation Date (COD) by 31 December 2025.
