Pekat Group Secures RM115 Million Contract For Solar Photovoltaic Plant Construction In Perak

Pekat Group Berhad (Pekat) has announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Pekat Solar Sdn. Bhd. (PSSB), has accepted a Letter of Award (LOA) from MF Solar Tronoh Sdn. Bhd. (MFST) to undertake the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of a 29.99 megawatt AC (MWac) solar photovoltaic plant.

The project, under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP), is set to be constructed at Mukim Belanja, Kinta District, Perak, with a total contract value of RM115 million.

The project is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024, with a targeted Commercial Operation Date (COD) by 31 December 2025. The initiative aligns with Malaysia’s increasing focus on renewable energy and contributes to Pekat Groupโ€™s growth in the solar energy sector. Pekatโ€™s Board of Directors believes that this contract will positively impact the companyโ€™s earnings from 2025 onwards.

This development comes as part of Pekatโ€™s ongoing efforts to support clean energy projects across Malaysia, bolstering its position as a key player in the renewable energy landscape.
