Solex Energy Limited, a leading player in the solar energy sector, has unveiled a monumental investment exceeding INR 8,000 crores as part of its Vision 2030 strategy. This ambitious plan aims to solidify the company’s position as a fully integrated solar entity by advancing solar technology and scaling its operations.

As part of this strategy, Solex Energy is planning the construction of a new solar cell manufacturing facility with an initial capacity of 2 GW, scalable to 5 GW. Additionally, its module manufacturing capacity will be expanded from 1.5 GW to 15 GW. The company also intends to increase its workforce to over 25,000 employees to support this growth.

Chetan Shah, Chairman & Managing Director of Solex Energy Limited, described Vision 2030 as a key milestone in the company’s evolution. “With the introduction of N-Type TOPcon Technology featuring Rectangular Cells, Solex Energy is raising the bar for efficiency and reliability,” Shah stated.

A significant aspect of Vision 2030 is the introduction of the Tapi-R series, a new line of solar modules utilizing N-Type TOPcon Technology and a rectangular cell design. The series is named after the Tapi River, symbolizing vitality in the region where the company is headquartered, and the “R” stands for rectangular cells, which boost efficiency and reliability.

The Tapi-R series features cells sized at 182.2 x 210 mm and includes 132 Half-Cut cells, delivering up to 625 WP of power and boasting a module efficiency of 23.14%. Designed for large-scale solar projects, particularly in challenging environments like deserts and barren lands, the series has a bifacial rate of approximately 80% and a power temperature coefficient of -0.28%/°C. The modules come with a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear performance guarantee, offering the lowest annual degradation rates in the market.

In a notable achievement, Solex Energy became the first Indian manufacturer to secure the MCS 005 certification under the BSI Kitemark, accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). This certification reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to quality and excellence.

Beyond technological advancements, Solex Energy is dedicated to contributing to India’s national objective of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based electricity capacity by 2030. The company also continues to support community development through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
