The Adani Group and Google have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing sustainability goals and increasing clean energy contributions to India’s power grid. Under this partnership, Adani will supply renewable energy from a new solar-wind hybrid project, part of the worldโs largest renewable energy plant located in Khavda, Gujarat. The project is set to begin commercial operations by the third quarter of 2025.
Adani, renowned for its expertise in delivering large-scale renewable projects such as wind, solar, hybrid, and energy storage, will provide tailored clean energy solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) clients. This initiative aligns with the group’s broader strategy to decarbonize industries while focusing more on merchant and C&I segments.
The collaboration also supports Googleโs goal of achieving 24/7 carbon-free energy, ensuring that the tech giantโs cloud services and operations in India are powered by renewable energy, contributing to both companiesโ sustainability objectives.
