In NTPC’s recent auction for wind-solar hybrid power projects, several companies emerged as successful bidders, securing contracts for a total of 1,200 MW of capacity. The auction is part of a long-term plan to develop solar power projects connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) across India.
Among the winners, Adani Green Energy secured the largest share with 600 MW at a competitive tariff of ₹3.29 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). SembCorp followed closely, winning 300 MW with the same tariff of ₹3.29 per unit. ReNew Power was awarded 30 MW, also at ₹3.29 per kWh.

In addition to these bids, two companies, Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra) and Evergreen (Green Prairie Energy), secured projects at a slightly lower tariff of ₹3.28 per unit. Adyant Enersol was successful in securing 70 MW, while Evergreen (Green Prairie Energy) won a 200 MW project at the same tariff.
Three of the participating companies—Adani Green Energy, SembCorp, and ReNew—submitted bids with a tariff of ₹3.29 per kilowatt-hour. This competitive rate demonstrates the growing interest and investment in hybrid energy projects in India, which combine both wind and solar power sources.
The results of the auction reflect the continued push for renewable energy development in India, supporting the government’s broader goal of expanding clean energy infrastructure. These projects are expected to contribute significantly to the country’s energy mix, enhancing the capacity of ISTS-connected solar power projects across various regions.
