The Council reviewed the 2023 carbon emissions inventory, which revealed a 29% reduction, bringing Dubai closer to its target of reducing emissions by 30% by 2030. This achievement highlights the effectiveness of measures under Dubaiโ€™s comprehensive carbon reduction strategy.

Dubai has continued its role as a global leader in emissions control through various projects and initiatives implemented by entities under the DSCE, including the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Municipality, Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), ENOC Group, Dubai Petroleum, and the Road and Transport Authority (RTA).
