LONGi Broke the World Record for Efficiency of Crystalline Silicon Modules with a 25.4% Module Efficiency of HPBC2.0

According to a recent certification report by Fraunhofer ISE, an internationally recognized certification authority, LONGi, a pioneer in global solar technology, has developed an HPBC2.0 module that has achieved a groundbreaking efficiency of 25.4%. This milestone surpasses the previous world record for crystalline silicon module efficiency.

Reports indicate that LONGi’s achievement is expected to be featured shortly in the prestigious “Martin Green Module Efficiency World Historical Record Table” as well as on the record list maintained by the U.S. Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), marking its global recognition in the field of photovoltaic technology.

The module efficiency has achieved a landmark 25.4%, heralding a significant leap forward from the incremental gains seen over the past decade. This efficiency has broken the previous world record of 25% which included by Green and NREL, and eclipses the 24.9% IBC module efficiency record set by Maxeon in January this year, achieving a historic leap. With a history spanning more than 30 years, crystalline silicon module efficiency records have seen remarkable milestones. Notably, since Sunpower created a module efficiency of 20.3% based on IBC technology in 2007, XBC technology has consistently pushed the boundaries, breaking the world record eight times in succession with its highly efficient structure and compatibility.
