The Solar Week Philippines 2024, held on October 16 at the Marquis Events Place in Metro Manila, marked an outstanding milestone in the renewable energy industry, uniting influential leaders and innovators for a dynamic day of networking, insightful discussions, and visionary dialogue. The event highlighted critical themes such as the future of utility-scale solar, the emerging potential of floating solar projects in the Philippines, and the technological advancements fueling growth in rooftop solar initiatives.


The eventโ€™s keynote address was delivered by Ms. Ruby De Guzman, Assistant Director at the Renewable Energy Management Bureau (REMB) of the Department of Energy (DOE), who inspired the audience by underscoring the Philippinesโ€™ dedicated commitment to renewable energy expansion. Additionally, Atty. Cherry Liez O. Rafal-Roble, Partner at SGV & Co., provided an in-depth Knowledge Presentation on regulatory and strategic developments accelerating sustainable energy progress across the nation.

The awards ceremony was led by Engr. Franz Tobias, OIC-Chief of the Renewable Energy Division at the Energy Regulatory Commission, who honored industry pioneers for their efforts toward a more sustainable and innovative energy future for the Philippines.
