Covestro (India) Private Limited has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Amplus Solar Shakti Private Limited, a subsidiary of Amplus Energy Solutions, to enhance its sustainability initiatives and reduce its carbon footprint. The collaboration is expected to significantly reduce CO2 emissions by up to 5,000 tons annually, thanks to the integration of 5.5 MW of solar energy. This move supports Covestroโ€™s transition toward a circular economy by reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources and minimizing its environmental impact.

Amplus Solar Shakti, part of the Petronas Group, will oversee the solar power supply while ensuring rigorous compliance with legal and regulatory standards throughout the project. The deal underscores Covestroโ€™s commitment to long-term renewable energy solutions, reinforcing its position as a leader in green energy within the chemical industry.
