The spotlight of the launch event was on LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 technology and the series of new products based on this breakthrough, demonstrating the company’s continued leadership and deep expertise in BC technology. The BC technology not only boasts an impressive theoretical conversion efficiency of up to 29.1%, approaching the theoretical limit of 29.4% for silicon-based cells, but also enables LONGi’s self-developed HPBC 2.0 module to break the world record for silicon modules with a 25.4% efficiency. This achievement marks the first time since 1988 that a Chinese solar technology company has set this record.

Mr. Jia Chao emphasized that the core competitive advantage in the photovoltaic industry lies in reducing Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE). The Hi-MO 9 and Hi-MO X10 represent LONGiโ€™s latest technological advancements in line with this global trend. From pioneering monocrystalline silicon technology and driving the adoption of PERC cells, to advancing HPBC technology, LONGi has been at the forefront of photovoltaic innovation. The company continues to push the industry toward a more efficient and cost-effective future, setting new standards for global energy transition. At the event, LONGi’s expert team presented customized solutions for various application scenarios, helping meet the regionโ€™s growing energy demands in a sustainable manner.

Leveraging HPBC 2.0 technology, LONGi has developed modules designed for both Utility and Distributed Applications, addressing key customer challenges and pushing the safety and efficiency of PV modules to new heights.

Hi-MO 9: The Ultimate Flagship for Centralized Applications

The Hi-MO 9, tailored for large-scale utility power plants and is designed as a bi-facial module, is designed to meet the demand for high power generation performance and reliability throughout the entire lifecycle of centralized power plants. It offers the most efficient energy yield per unit of land across its lifecycle, with a 6.5-8% higher output than conventional N-type products, which significantly reduces LCOE while improving overall system performance and stability. The Hi-MO 9 is particularly well-suited to diverse African environments, including water surfaces, grasslands, and deserts, offering a more cost-effective solution for solar power and making clean energy even more competitive.

Hi-MO X10: The Premium Choice for Distributed Applications

Hi-MO X10 is LONGiโ€™s latest product, specifically designed for C&I and household applications. Shielding and hot spots are common challenges that compromise the safety of distributed power plants. Various types of shading from roof equipment, surrounding objects, dust, and dirt are prevalent in distributed environments. Hi-MO X10 effectively addresses these pain points, ensuring stable operation of the PV system and optimal protection for building rooftops. The Hi-MO X10 features next-generation technologies, including superposition bipolar composite passivation, 0BB, and a highly reliable packaging process, delivering unmatched performance in power generation, reliability, customer benefits, and aesthetics.
