KP Group has announced the appointment of Dr. Alok Das as its new Group CEO, bringing over 30 years of renewable energy expertise to the leadership role. Dr. Das, a distinguished IIT Kanpur alumnus with a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy, is set to lead KP Group’s growth strategy across its 35 companies, including KPI Green Energy and KP Energy. His experience spans strategic planning, project management, and global business development, with a focus on advancing sustainable energy initiatives in India and beyond.
Throughout his career, Dr. Das has been recognized as a key influencer in India’s renewable energy sector, significantly contributing to policy and regulatory frameworks that have shaped the industry. His extensive background includes pivotal roles at industry giants such as Suzlon Energy, Reliance Energy, and NEPC Michon Limited, where he led operational expansions and portfolio diversification in both renewable and conventional energy sectors.
Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Faruk G. Patel, expressed confidence in Dr. Das’s leadership, stating, “Dr. Alok Das’s vast experience and leadership acumen will play a crucial role in accelerating KP Group’s business growth. His expertise will guide us toward our goal of achieving 10 GW by 2030, further establishing KP Group as a top player in the renewable sector.”
