Soudah Development And National Grid SA Sign SAR 1.3 Billion Deal To Build Advanced Power Infrastructure For Soudah Peaks

Soudah Development, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company chaired by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, has entered into a major agreement with National Grid SA, a subsidiary of the Saudi Electricity Company. The agreement, valued at more than SAR 1.3 billion, focuses on developing and delivering advanced power infrastructure for Soudah Peaks.

This partnership represents a significant milestone in the progress of Soudah Peaks, an ultra-luxury mountain destination situated 3,015 meters above sea level. The collaboration reflects Soudah Development’s commitment to creating exceptional experiences across tourism, hospitality, wellness, retail, ultra-luxury residential offerings, and other key sectors. The project aims to position Soudah Peaks as one of the world’s most distinguished high-altitude destinations.

Under the terms of the agreement, National Grid SA will design and construct a fully integrated electrical network to support the development. The infrastructure will include a central 380/132 kilovolt substation with a capacity of 500 megavolt-amperes, along with two high-voltage 132/13.8 kilovolt substations. This power system will serve as the backbone of utilities across all project zones, ensuring reliable electricity delivery for hospitality, residential, commercial, and public facilities throughout each phase of the development.

Eng. Saleh AlOraini, CEO of Soudah Development, emphasized the importance of the partnership, noting that it marks a defining step in the journey to build Soudah Peaks into a world-class destination known for luxury, excellence, and sustainability. He stated that the agreement with National Grid SA ensures the foundational infrastructure required to support every phase of the project and achieve its long-term vision.
