SOCOMEC PV Disconnect Switches Safeguard Over 50 GW Of Solar Installations Across India, Driving Sustainable Energy Growth

Socomec India, a leader in power management solutions, has made a significant contribution to Indiaโ€™s renewable energy sector. The company has supplied its innovative Photovoltaic (PV) disconnect switches for over 50 GW of solar installations, out of the countryโ€™s total 90 GW solar capacity. This achievement reflects Socomecโ€™s dedication to its โ€˜Energizing Indiaโ€™ vision, aimed at fostering sustainable growth and supporting Indiaโ€™s ambitious renewable energy targets.

The company’s SIRCO PV and INOSYS disconnect switches are designed to manage DC power up to 1500 VDC across a range of electrical setups, including floating and bipolar configurations. These switches use patented technology to deliver a 500 / 750 VDC breaking capacity per pole, ensuring low power loss and offering a compact solution tailored for the demanding needs of solar energy systems.

For higher voltage systems, Socomec has introduced upgraded switches with a 2000 VDC capacity, available in 3- or 4-pole configurations. These state-of-the-art products, the first of their kind in the market, are designed to maximize efficiency and performance at higher voltages, solidifying Socomecโ€™s position as a technology leader in the solar industry.
