On December 16, energy and petroleum ministers from Algeria, Egypt, and Qatar convened in Kuwait to discuss strategies for enhancing partnerships. Key areas of discussion included boosting exploration activities, increasing investments, and fostering regional energy collaboration.
Qatar emphasized strengthening bilateral ties with Egypt, particularly in exploration and production efforts. Discussions highlighted ongoing and future projects in the Red Sea and Mediterranean, with Qatar expressing interest in unlocking the significant energy potential of the Western Mediterranean region.
Egypt, on its part, is prioritizing the attraction of foreign investment to expand its exploration sector and bolster resource development. Collaborative efforts with Algeria and Qatar are seen as instrumental in achieving these objectives.
