NTPC Limited, a Government of India Enterprise, has invited online bids under Domestic Competitive Bidding for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar trees at NTPC Bongaigaon, located in Assam. The project, under the Energy Conservation Budget, is managed by the Central Procurement Group – 2 of NTPC Sipat. The work is classified as a “Works Contract,” and MSME benefits are not applicable. Only Class-I local suppliers are eligible to participate, as defined by the Public Procurement Order 2017 and its subsequent revisions.
The contract’s duration is set for 12 months, and the bid follows a single-stage, single-envelope composite bidding process. The bid amount includes GST as applicable, which should be selected appropriately in the BOQ template provided. Additionally, bidders must ensure that at least 5% of the contract value is allocated to safety-related measures.
Specific provisions restrict procurement from bidders from countries sharing a land border with India unless they are registered with the competent authority. This clause also applies to Indian bidders in technology transfer arrangements with such countries. NTPC reserves the right to amend the bidding schedule, and conditions, or reject bids without assigning any reason.
The contract’s Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is not applicable, interested bidders are encouraged to refer to Section VI of the bidding document for a detailed scope of work.
NTPC emphasizes the importance of timely submission of bids, with dates and times specified on the GePNIC platform. Amendments or corrigenda, if any, will also be published on the same portal. The bid opening will be conducted online, and NTPC reserves the right to reject bids or withdraw the invitation without any obligations toward the bidders.
