Global experts convening at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week emphasized the vital role of international collaboration in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and transitioning to eco-friendly economies. The event highlighted the importance of adopting comprehensive strategies to foster partnerships between countries and institutions.
Jianhui Zhang, CEO of Beijing HyperStrong Technology Co., Ltd., praised China’s advancements in renewable energy technologies, particularly wind, solar, and energy storage systems. “China currently possesses the most advanced technologies for renewable energy generation,” Zhang said, adding that collaboration with the UAE is essential to bring these innovations to the worldโs largest emerging markets.
Zhang participated in a panel discussion at the event, exploring technological solutions for a sustainable future. He underscored the importance of leveraging global platforms like Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week to drive impactful advancements in clean energy.
Meanwhile, Sam Onuigbo, Chairman of the Committee on Climate Change, Security, and Special Interventions at Nigeriaโs North-East Development Commission, credited the event for inspiring actionable policies, including Nigeria’s Climate Change Act. “Such forums offer unique opportunities to exchange ideas and showcase technological innovations, fostering sustainable development in developing countries,” Onuigbo stated.
He also pointed to the strengthening economic ties between the UAE and Nigeria, noting the increasing mutual investments and expanding partnerships. These collaborations, he added, are pivotal to advancing sustainability and economic growth in both nations.
