POWERGRID Invites Bids For 1.07 MW Rooftop Solar Plant Installation At NIT Durgapur Under CSR Initiative

Powergrid Corporation of India Limited has published a tender for the supply and installation of a 1.07 MW rooftop on-grid solar plant at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur, West Bengal. This project is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by POWERGRID. The aim is to install a sustainable energy solution at the institute, which will also contribute to India’s renewable energy targets.

The tender was officially published on January 17, 2025. The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the solar plant. Bidders must meet the prequalification criteria, which will ensure that only competent contractors are selected for this significant project.

The document sale began on January 17, 2025, and will close on February 13, 2025. Prospective bidders can submit their soft copies of bids within this time frame. The last date for submitting the hard copies of the bids is also February 13, 2025. After the submission window closes, the bids will be opened on the same day, February 13, 2025, at 11:30 AM. The tender is classified as an open tender, inviting competition from qualified contractors. It falls under the category of “Works” and is aimed at public sector undertakings and joint ventures.
