NTPC Renewable Energy Declares 62.5 MW Capacity Operational At Gujarat-1 Solar PV Project

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has successfully declared the second part capacity of its 200 MW Gujarat-1 Solar PV Project in Sadla, Gujarat, as commercially operational. The capacity of 25 MW was officially declared on January 17, 2025, based on the certificate issued by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) on January 18, 2025.

The first part of the project, which accounts for 37.5 MW, had already been declared commercially operational on December 21, 2024. With the addition of the second part, the total capacity of 62.5 MW has now been fully declared as operational.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in the progress of NTPCโ€™s renewable energy efforts in Gujarat, contributing to the companyโ€™s renewable energy goals. The project continues to support India’s growing focus on clean and sustainable energy generation.
