Cimbali Group Develops Decentralised Renewable Energy Project at Dolo Facility

The Cimbali Group, an Italian multinational known for its design and production of professional espresso machines, is advancing its sustainability efforts with the development of a new decentralised renewable energy project at its Dolo facility in Italy. The new facility, currently under construction, will feature 460 photovoltaic modules with a combined installed capacity of 230 kWp. This system will power the production of coffee machines and related equipment at the company’s premises in the province of Venice.

The initiative builds on Cimbali Group’s long-standing commitment to renewable energy, following previous installations of photovoltaic systems at its facilities in Binasco (Milan) and Cappella Cantone (Cremona). Since 2010, the Group has worked on integrating renewable energy solutions, achieving a total photovoltaic capacity of nearly 800 kWp. These systems generate approximately 3,700 MWh of energy annually, spread across 4,500 square metres of surface area.

As a result of these efforts, 54% of the energy consumed by the Cimbali Group is now sourced from renewable energy, with 7% of that coming from its own production. The company’s ongoing investment in renewable energy highlights its commitment to sustainable practices across its operations.
