ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited for a 680 MW Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. This agreement is a major step forward for ACME Solar in supporting India’s clean energy transition. The project, awarded under the 1,400 MW FDRE tender issued by NHPC, will be developed across multiple states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan.
This innovative project combines solar, wind, and battery storage technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability. The PPA outlines a minimum annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) guarantee of 40%, with a requirement to meet 90% of the promised value during peak hours. This ensures the project will deliver reliable energy, contributing significantly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The collaboration between ACME Solar and NHPC highlights the commitment to advancing India’s renewable energy capacity and achieving national energy goals. By integrating hybrid renewable energy systems, the project sets a new benchmark in the industry, reinforcing ACME Solar’s leadership in clean energy. The success of this initiative reflects ACME Solar’s continued contribution to a greener and more sustainable future.
