Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), the distribution arm of Tata Power serving around 9 million people in North and Northwest Delhi, has been ranked among the top 10 power utilities worldwide in the 2024 Smart Grid Index. This prestigious recognition highlights Tata Power-DDL’s continuous focus on innovation and smart practices in the energy sector. The 2024 Smart Grid Index evaluated 92 utilities across 36 countries, recognizing global best practices in Smart Grid deployment.

The utilities were assessed based on seven critical parameters: Monitoring & Control, Data Analytics, Supply Reliability, DER Integration, Green Energy, Security, and Customer Empowerment & Satisfaction. Tata Power-DDL scored an impressive 83.9%, excelling particularly in Monitoring & Control, Green Energy, Security, and Customer Empowerment & Satisfaction. This achievement makes it the only Indian utility ranked among the global top 10.
