The landmark deal, signed on February 13, 2025, underscores Belmont One’s long-term commitment to environmental sustainability. By integrating clean, renewable power into its operations, the company aims to significantly reduce its carbon footprint while enhancing cost efficiency and energy security.

Commitment to Renewable Energy Transition

Belmont One President Chester Lim reaffirmed the company’s dedication to sustainability, highlighting its proactive stance in adopting greener energy solutions.

“We are committed to continuous innovation and the adoption of more efficient, forward-thinking solutions in our operations. Since January 2016, we have been actively pursuing renewable energy initiatives and exploring ways to increase our reliance on stable, sustainable power sources,” Lim stated. “By transitioning to renewable energy, we are not only optimizing our energy costs but also making significant strides toward achieving our sustainability goals and minimizing our environmental impact.”

The shift to geothermal energy is complemented by Belmont One’s additional sustainability initiatives, including the installation of solar panels within the commercial complex. These efforts ensure that multiple renewable sources contribute to the company’s overall energy mix.

Strategic Partnership for a Greener Future

Arlene Sy, Head of Power Sales and Marketing at First Gen Corporation, emphasized the significance of the collaboration in promoting clean energy adoption in the entertainment sector.

“Theme parks consume a significant amount of power, not to mention the environmental impact of their operations. But they also contribute significantly to the local economy,” Sy said. “Through our partnership with Belmont One, we are helping the Anjo World Theme Park shift to cleaner electricity.”

In addition to supplying geothermal energy, First Gen and its sister company, Pi Energy Inc., will equip Belmont One with a remote energy monitoring system. This system will enable real-time tracking of electricity consumption, allowing Anjo World and its commercial tenants to optimize energy use and improve operational efficiency.

Setting a Benchmark for Sustainable Tourism

As a premier entertainment hub, Anjo World’s transition to renewable energy marks a significant milestone in sustainable tourism and commercial operations. The initiative aligns with the Belmont Group’s broader commitment to sustainability across its diverse business sectors, including hospitality, retail, and real estate.

By embracing renewable energy, Anjo World Theme Park is setting a new industry standard, demonstrating how large-scale entertainment venues can integrate sustainability into their core operations while contributing to environmental preservation and economic growth.
