Avaada Group, one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, participated in the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY 2.0) event in Indapur, Pune, reaffirming its commitment to providing clean, reliable, and affordable solar energy to Maharashtra’s farmers. Energy is essential for progress, and true progress is achieved when farmers, the backbone of the nation, have access to sustainable power.

The event emphasized the transformative impact of solar energy on agriculture, helping reduce subsidy costs, ensuring energy security, and driving rural economic growth. Under MSKVY 2.0, Avaada Energy has been awarded 1,132 MW of solar projects across multiple districts in Maharashtra. Of this, 24 MW is already operational, with 200 MW set for completion by March 2025. The entire project will be fully functional by the end of the year, marking a significant milestone in rural electrification and energy independence.

This initiative aims to provide daytime electricity to agricultural feeders, addressing major issues such as grid instability, high subsidy burdens on DISCOMs, and unreliable power supply in rural areas. By enabling farmers to operate irrigation pumps using solar energy instead of expensive and polluting fossil fuels, the project helps lower input costs, improve productivity, and increase farm incomes. This, in turn, leads to greater financial stability and economic empowerment for rural communities.

Mr. Vineet Mittal, Chairman, Avaada Group, said in a statement, “Solar Energy is the Path to Farmers’ Prosperity. A nation is built on the strength of its farmers. When we provide them with sustainable energy, we do not just illuminate their fields; we illuminate their futures. Solar power is not merely an alternative—it is the path to independence, prosperity, and dignity. At Avaada, we are honored to contribute to this revolution, ensuring that Maharashtra’s farmers reap the true benefits of renewable energy. Through MSKVY 2.0, we are not just generating power—we are generating livelihoods, hope, and a sustainable tomorrow.”

Avaada’s solar projects under MSKVY 2.0 are spread across key districts, including Pune (234 MW), Sangli (207 MW), Yavatmal (225 MW), Ahmednagar (196 MW), Nashik (172 MW), and other districts (98 MW). These projects will significantly reduce Maharashtra’s energy subsidy burden, ensure a stable power supply for farmers, and create employment opportunities in the renewable energy sector. Avaada Group’s active participation in MSKVY 2.0 aligns with its broader mission to accelerate India’s transition to clean energy and support rural development. With every megawatt of solar energy installed, Avaada moves closer to realizing India’s vision of energy security, environmental sustainability, and economic growth for its farmers.
