ERC Sets 2025 Agenda, Strengthens EU Business Ties for Renewable Energy Growth

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Chairperson and CEO Monalisa C. Dimalanta presented the Commissionโ€™s key achievements and regulatory priorities for 2025 during a meeting with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) .

Addressing the ECCPโ€™s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE and EE) Committee, Chairperson Dimalanta outlined the ERCโ€™s ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting energy democracy. She highlighted the issuance of the Omnibus Rules for Customer Choice Programs and the Commissionโ€™s intensified efforts to resolve longstanding case delays and backlogs.

The discussion also explored potential collaboration between the European business community in the Philippines and the ERC in advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives. The meeting was attended by ECCP RE and EE Committee Co-Chairpersons Atty. Jay Layug Jr. and Ruth Yu-Owen.

The ERC remains focused on regulatory reforms and strategic partnerships to enhance the countryโ€™s energy landscape and drive sustainable development.
