Catalyze, a fully integrated developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP) of distributed renewable energy assets, announced that it has secured a $400 million multiyear debt facility from ATLAS SP Partners, the warehouse finance and securitized products business majority owned by Apollo funds.
The financing will be used to support the construction and aggregation of Catalyzeโs expanding portfolio of renewable energy projects across the United States. These projects include commercial and industrial solar installations, community solar initiatives, and battery storage systems. Currently, Catalyze has 300 megawatts (MW) of projects in operation and under construction, with a development pipeline exceeding 1 gigawatt (GW) of additional investment opportunities.
Jared Haines, CEO of Catalyze, said in a statement, โThis facility is a critical milestone for Catalyze in our strategy to scale distributed renewable energy solutions for businesses and communities across the United States and will enable us to double in size by the end of the year, reaching 300MW in operation. ATLASโ deep expertise in the distributed generation sector made them an ideal partner. We look forward to building on our partnership to help meet the increasing demand for renewable energy solutions.โ
Can Baysan, Managing Director at ATLAS, mentioned, โAt ATLAS, we are proud to support Catalyze as they continue to lead in distributed energy project development. With our extensive experience in solar asset-backed financings, we were able to provide Catalyze with added flexibility that will help them execute on their expansion goals.โ
The new debt facility is designed to provide Catalyze with increased flexibility as it scales its renewable energy solutions while streamlining the financing process for future projects. As demand for clean energy solutions continues to grow, this funding will empower Catalyze to accelerate project development, deploy more renewable energy capacity, and enhance energy resilience in communities across the U.S.
Catalyzeโs growth strategy has been strongly supported by its private equity sponsors, EnCap Investments and Actis, who remain committed to advancing the companyโs mission to transform the renewable energy landscape. The collaboration with ATLAS SP Partners marks a significant step in Catalyzeโs journey, further positioning it as a key player in the clean energy transition.
