IRSC Signs 30-Year PPA with Arabian Cement for Solar Energy Expansion

IRSC for Renewable Energy Solutions has signed a landmark 30-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Arabian Cement Company (ACC), a leading cement producer in Egypt. The agreement marks a significant step towards ACC’s commitment to sustainability and energy independence.

Under the agreement, IRSC will develop, finance, construct, own, and operate the second phase of ACCโ€™s solar power plant. The facility, with a total capacity of 17.6 MWp, is expected to generate 32.5 GWh annually, significantly reducing the companyโ€™s carbon footprint while providing clean and reliable electricity.

The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Andrew Daniel, Chairman of IRSC, and Mr. Sergio Alcantarilla, CEO of ACC, along with senior representatives from both companies. IRSCโ€™s delegation included VP-Energy Eng. Mohamed M. El-Haddad, Business Development Manager Eng. George Fakhry, and Financial Manager Mr. Gerges Sedky. Representing ACC were Chief Operations Officer Eng. Maged Moustafa and Energy & Sustainability Manager Eng. Hazem Khater.

This long-term partnership strengthens ACCโ€™s renewable energy initiatives while positioning IRSC at the forefront of Egyptโ€™s clean energy transition.
