Tata Power has reached a remarkable milestone, surpassing 1,50,000 rooftop solar installations across India. This achievement cements its position as the nationโ€™s No. 1 rooftop solar provider and highlights its pivotal role in advancing Indiaโ€™s renewable energy landscape. The total installed capacity now stands at around 3 GW, reflecting Tata Powerโ€™s substantial contribution to Indiaโ€™s green energy transition.

With a robust presence in over 700 cities, Tata Power Solar Rooftop, a division of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), is driving the shift towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient future. Marketed as Tata Power Solaroof, the companyโ€™s rooftop solar systems offer numerous advantages: up to 80% reduction in electricity bills, a 25-year warranty on solar modules, and a payback period of just 4 to 7 years. These systems also shield consumers from annual electricity tariff hikes, which typically range from 3-5%. The company further enhances its offering with ALMM-Approved Solar Panels manufactured at its advanced facility in Tamil Nadu.

Understanding the need for accessible and affordable solar solutions, Tata Power has partnered with over 20 financial institutions, including PSU and private banks, to provide flexible financing options. The company plays a crucial role in supporting the Indian governmentโ€™s solar initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojanaa. Additionally, its flagship โ€˜GharGhar Solarโ€™ campaign promotes widespread adoption of solar power, catering to diverse needs across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Throughout the year, Tata Power has championed solar awareness through creative campaigns. Notable initiatives include leveraging major cultural events such as Kumbh and Chhath Puja to spotlight solar energy adoption. As Tata Power celebrates this impressive milestone, it remains steadfast in delivering reliable and cost-effective solar solutions. The company empowers its customers with energy independence and financial savings while propelling India towards a more sustainable future.
