Shoals Technologies Group, Inc., a global leader in electrical balance of systems (EBOS) solutions for the energy transition market, has reaffirmed its commitment to domestic manufacturing in Alabama through its partnership with First Solar, Inc. This collaboration aims to strengthen the reshoring of U.S. solar industry supply chains, supporting the nation’s push toward energy independence and sustainable growth.

First Solar has demonstrated the economic benefits of American solar manufacturing by investing $1.1 billion in a new facility in Alabama, creating over 800 direct manufacturing jobs. The companyโ€™s additional 3.5 GW solar manufacturing facility, along with its existing U.S. operations, is partially supported by Shoalsโ€™ custom junction boxes, which are manufactured in Alabama.

Brandon Moss, CEO of Shoals, said, โ€œOur longstanding partnership with First Solar is something we are really proud of at Shoals. We appreciate First Solarโ€™s confidence in our commitment to quality products to support the re-shoring of the solar supply chain. With this ongoing commitment, we are poised to support the growth in domestic electricity demand.โ€

First Solarโ€™s $1.1 billion Alabama facility is a testament to the innovation and economic growth happening in our state. I look forward to continuing to support policies that bring jobs and industry back home.โ€
