Strata Clean Energy has announced the appointment of Jason Moretz as its new Chief Development Officer (CDO). Jason brings with him over two decades of experience in developing, executing, and managing large-scale infrastructure and energy projects. For the past ten years, his work has been dedicated exclusively to renewable energy development.
Prior to joining Strata Clean Energy, Jason served as Executive Vice President and Head of Development at Avantus. In that role, he led the development team responsible for building one of the largest solar and storage project pipelines in the United States. His leadership also played a key role in expanding Avantusโ operations into the desert southwest, helping to grow the companyโs regional presence and capabilities.
Jason has a strong track record in driving strategic priorities, building and leading high-performing teams, and delivering complex projects. His expertise spans critical areas such as land acquisition, permitting, interconnection planning, and utility-scale project execution. These skills align closely with Strataโs long-term growth plans and will support the companyโs mission to scale its clean energy efforts.

He holds a Ph.D. in Ecology from Ohio University and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). With his experience and leadership, Jason is expected to contribute significantly to streamlining development processes and improving project execution, strengthening Strata Clean Energyโs position in the renewable energy sector.
