Williams announced today that Larry Larsen has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective May 3, 2025. In his new role, Larsen will oversee all aspects of the companyโ€™s transmission, storage, and gathering and processing operations. He will succeed Micheal Dunn, who announced his planned retirement from Williams last month. Larsen currently serves as Senior Vice President of Gathering and Processing at the company.

Larsen has been with Williams since 1999, beginning his career within the Northwest Pipeline franchise. He later served as Vice President of Central Services, where he managed key operational areas including supply chain, commodity servicesโ€”such as volume management, systems planning, commodity optimization, and commercial contractsโ€”as well as natural gas liquids (NGL) and gas marketing, measurement, and pipeline control. In 2018, he was appointed Vice President-General Manager for Williamsโ€™ Rocky Mountain Midstream franchise, where he was responsible for the commercial management and safe, reliable operations of the regionโ€™s expanding infrastructure.

Alan Armstrong, Williams President and CEO, said in a statement, โ€œLarryโ€™s deep understanding of Williamsโ€™ operations and natural gas focused strategy make him the ideal candidate for our next COO, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity in leadership. He brings a depth of experience and knowledge that will allow us to continue optimizing our operations to enhance Williamsโ€™ competitive advantage and advance the execution of our long-term growth strategy.โ€

In 2020, Larsen took on the role of Vice President of Strategic Development, leading the companyโ€™s corporate strategy, market intelligence, and corporate development initiatives. Since 2022, he has served as Senior Vice President of Gathering and Processing, overseeing Williamsโ€™ onshore G&P operations, along with its NGL transmission, storage, and fractionation businesses. Larsen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
