In a landmark move toward clean energy transition, RASLAG Corp. and Pampanga I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PELCO I) have formalized a 15-megawatt Power Supply Agreement (PSA) to deliver renewable energy to Pampanga over the next 10 years.
The ceremonial signing was held at the Marriott Hotel in Clark Freeport Zone, with RASLAG President and CEO Robert Gerard B. Nepomuceno and PELCO I Board President Darius L. Cunanan leading the proceedings. The agreement is pending regulatory approval from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
According to RASLAGโs disclosure in its SEC Form 17-C, the agreement marks โa significant milestone in the partiesโ shared commitment to advancing clean and sustainable energy in Pampanga.โ
The PSA will utilize power from the RASLAG-4 solar power plant, reinforcing both entitiesโ commitment to addressing Pampangaโs rising electricity demand with sustainable solutions. The initiative also supports the provinceโs goal of reducing dependence on fossil fuels while promoting public-private cooperation in the renewable energy sector.
Once approved, the partnership is expected to serve as a model for other electric cooperatives and renewable energy providers in the Philippines. The signing event was attended by key executives and stakeholders, underscoring the shared vision for a greener energy landscape.
