Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd., a leading global solar energy technology company, has announced that its PV module manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina, has received ETL certification from Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). The certification marks a significant milestone as the company continues to expand its footprint in the North American solar market.
The ETL mark confirms that PV modules produced at the Greenville facility meet the rigorous safety and performance requirements outlined under UL 61730 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 61730 standards, which are essential for both U.S. and Canadian markets.
Peter VanNiekerk, Quality Manager at Boviet Solar’s Greenville PV Module Factory, commented, “Achieving ETL certification for our U.S. facility is a significant milestone in our journey to serve the North American solar market with domestically manufactured, certified, and safe PV modules.”
Sienna Cen, President of Boviet Solar USA, added, “This certification is a testament to the quality of our manufacturing processes and our team’s attention to detail. It enables our Greenville facility to ship certified modules for immediate use in utility, commercial, and residential solar projects across North America.”
The ETL certification involves thorough product testing, factory audits, and continuous surveillance inspections to ensure ongoing compliance. It verifies that the modules meet:
- UL 61730-1 and UL 61730-2 standards for electrical and fire safety
- CAN/CSA C22.2 requirements for the Canadian market
The achievement further strengthens Boviet Solar’s credibility and bankability, positioning it as a reliable supplier for large-scale solar deployments in regulated North American markets.
