India’s Vikram Solar Ranked In Top 1% Worldwide For Sustainability, Gets EcoVadis Platinum

Vikram Solar Limited, one of India’s leading manufacturers of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, has received a Platinum Medal from EcoVadis, a globally recognized organization that assesses companies on their sustainability performance. With a score of 84 out of 100, Vikram Solar has secured a position in the 99th percentile among all companies evaluated by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 1% of organizations assessed worldwide. As of May 13, 2025, Vikram Solar also ranks first in its sector at the Group level, which includes all Vikram Solar group companies operating globally.

The EcoVadis assessment is based on a detailed evaluation of 21 sustainability criteria grouped under four core themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. More than 130,000 companies around the world have undergone this assessment, which is grounded in international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and the ISO 26000 guidelines. These ratings offer a fact-based analysis of a company’s sustainability efforts and provide a roadmap for continuous improvement.

At the same time, Avaada Group has also set high standards in sustainability especially with its commitment to green hydrogen, carbon reduction, and community upliftment.
