In a powerful display of circular innovation, Tata Power’s Anokha Dhaaga Smart Circularity programme has upcycled over 5,000 kilograms of single-use plastic waste into high-quality recycled fabric products. Led by women across six production centers, the initiative has generated more than ₹20 lakhs in fair-trade income, showcasing how environmental action can drive community empowerment.

Aligned with Tata Group’s Project Aalingana and in support of World Environment Day 2025’s theme, “End Plastic Pollution,” the initiative diverted plastic waste through a collection drive at Tata Power’s Mumbai facilities. The collected material was processed by circular waste partner ReCircle into RPET fabric, then transformed into sustainable goods—like T-shirts, bags, and haversacks—by trained women artisans.

The program also integrated pre-loved denim donations and fulfilled large B2B orders, reinforcing Tata Power’s commitment to making #SustainableIsAttainable by promoting reuse, recycling, and resilient livelihoods.
